Ms. Marshall has over ten years experience as a legal secretary, administrator and paralegal in the Monterey Peninsula area.

As paralegal for Gunnison, McKay and Hodgson, L.L.P., Ms. Marshall has worked closely with the partners and associates to oversee the docketing function, update the firm forms, and keep the firm database up to date.  Ms. Marshall has extensive experience preparing the various documents associated with the filing of patent applications, both domestic and foreign, and the preparation and filing of the various other documents associated with all aspects of patent prosecution.  In addition, Ms. Marshall is well versed in PTO policies and procedures.

Prior to joining Gunnison, McKay and Hodgson, L.L.P., Ms. Marshall was a legal secretary for a named partner at a prominent Monterey law firm.  In her capacity as legal secretary, Ms. Marshall supported all aspects of medical malpractice and general litigation cases.  In this role, Ms. Marshall also assisted in everything from client interviews and depositions to trial preparation, resolution and settlement procedures.  Ms. Marshall was also responsible for calendaring and docketing litigation matters, calendaring and setting up depositions, coordinating mediation hearings, obtaining court dates and preparation and filing of various legal documents.

Ms. Marshall has also worked as an Administrative Assistant in a major Monterey insurance company.  In this role, Ms. Marshall supported the company CEO and all of the company's officers at the company's home office.  Ms. Marshall also worked closely with the company's corporate counsel and assisted with matters involving the Secretary of State and the Department of Insurance.  Ms. Marshall was also responsible for coordinating all company wide events and assisted the CEO in a wide range of matters.

Ms. Marshall is a California Certified Paralegal, a Notary Public, and is a member of the National Notary Association, National Federation of Paralegal Associations and UCSC Alumni Association.  Ms. Marshall obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
