Ms. O’Dell has more than 30 years experience in the legal field.  Ms. O'Dell has worked as both a legal secretary and a paralegal.  Ms. O'Dell's experience has included work in the real estate law, corporate law, litigation and intellectual property law. 

Prior to joining Gunnison, McKay and Hodgson, Ms. O'Dell spent over 10 years as a senior paralegal at Sun Microsystems, Inc.  While at Sun, Ms. O'Dell's responsibilities included performing online research in connection with trademark clearance requests, trademark policing efforts and legal and trademark review of corporate advertising campaigns and press releases.  She also performed trademark review of product literature for Sun’s various product groups.  Ms. O'Dell was also responsible for the creation of, and adherence to, sweepstakes and promotions guidelines by various product groups and performed general legal research as requested.  Ms. O'Dell also performed various special projects she was assigned from time to time.  These special projects included overseeing the creation, translation and delivery of standard and product specific Binary Code Licenses and document control of confidential intellectual property exchanged or transferred between Sun and third parties.

In legal secretarial positions, Ms. O’Dell supported several partners and associates in large Silicon Valley law firms.  In this role, Ms. O'Dell handled corporate, litigation and real estate law matters.  In addition to general secretarial support, other duties included preparation, filing and docketing of important dates for corporate, litigation and real estate deadlines.  Ms. O’Dell’s out of area experience has included both legal secretarial and paralegal support for attorneys in the areas of probate, litigation and real estate.  She was also responsible for assisting in the administration of the 40l(k) and pension and profit sharing plans for one of the law firms.
